EMLYON EXPERIENCE 2014.03.13
Sylvie Guinard (MBA 2002) always dreamed of being an astronaut, and she is still passionate about space and aeronautics.
But, because fighter-pilot training was off-limits to women at that time, and the physical requirements seemed out of her reach, she chose the technical route and became a mechanical engineer with a degree from ESTACA (Transportation Engineering School). Next, at the age of 36, she pursued another dream, albeit less spectacular, but which makes her everyday life an exciting experience - taking over the reins of the family-owned business, Thimonnier. Located in Saint-Germain-au-Mont D'Or (Rhône), this company was originally founded with the invention of the sewing machine.
The company employs 60 people and, over the past five years, has seen double-digit growth in sales.
Thimonnier will exhibit in ALL4PACK fair in order to present its filling solutions in flexible packaging for food, cosmetics, detergents, industry and healthcare.
On Friday 5 July, Eric DUHOO, MD, gave 4 donations to 4 associations supported by Thimonnier employees as part of his internal operation "COUP DE POUCE A MON ASSO".
